Haus am Horn, Bauhaus Model House - Permanent Exhibition

The Haus am Horn designed by Georg Muche is the beginning of classical modernism and its first icon. In the Bauhaus year 2019 it was completely renovated in terms of monument preservation and a permanent exhibition was added. The visitor should be able to imagine the original rooms of the model house. However, the house was only able to show parts of the important furnishings from the 1923 exhibition. The new outline furniture indicates the objects that no longer exist in the facility. In order not to disturb the “Haus am Horn” exhibit with the new exhibition, the informative levels of the exhibition were integrated into the outline furniture.
Pictures of the realized project are complemented by renderings by the Kalhöfer-Korschildgen office, which show a further development of the outline furniture towards more complex exhibition carriers in order to offer the visitor the possibility of an extended range of information.
